Limited site analytics
The Active Observatory uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage, including page visits and selected interactions with research controls, public observation records, aggregate views, observation-source links, and links to Active Advertiser Network.
Analytics events are designed not to include user-entered search text, business names, contact details, internal record identifiers, observation excerpts, or destination source URLs. Public market, industry, and observation-area selections may be represented by bounded public slugs.
Google Analytics may use cookies and process technical information associated with a visit, such as browser, device, and approximate location information, under Google’s applicable terms and policies. The Active Observatory disables Google signals and advertising-personalization signals in its Google tag configuration.
You can limit analytics through browser privacy settings, cookie controls, script blocking, or tools provided by Google.
Authority Review submissions
When an owner or authorized representative submits an Authority Review, The Active Observatory stores the business and record information, requester name and business email, relationship to the business, requested review, explanation, supporting public URL when supplied, confirmation of authority, submission status, and timestamps.
This information is used to evaluate identity, attribution, authority, and factual-correction requests. A submission is not published automatically and does not directly change a public business record. Questions about this policy may be sent to jjbenton60@gmail.com.
